Pieces, Lately.

It's getting down to crunch time.

Lately, we have been collecting boxes, packing, and furniture shopping, preparing for what we know will be a hectic and crazy month. I feel like November has been a really. long. month. We move in the first week of December and then have under 3 weeks to get floors refinished, get furniture delivered, unpack and get settled for my family to come visit the weekend before Christmas. Call us Crazy? I don't blame you. This will be the 4th time we have moved in a year. (finger in mouth) I hate moving. But this looks to be a more permanent move....we hope. Haha. I am just thinking about how wonderful it will be to have our family around us in our new home with Christmas movies playing in the background, our first real Christmas tree lit up,  & the smell of food cooking in the kitchen & maybe even a little snow falling outside. That is my happy place. Scarlett is old enough this time to enjoy Christmas more than last year. I'm REALLY excited for her little smiles on Christmas morning.

Scarlett started dance class & I just melt every time I see her wiggling around in her little tutu. It is more of a free dance class to let the young toddlers explore dance & music and prepare them for real choreographed classes but I still love to see her interacting with music. Scarlett was sick pretty much the whole month of November. Two bad colds. We spent a lot of time cuddling and watching Christmas movies. We discovered that she loves KettleCorn Popcorn as much as I do. Just as Scarlett got over her second sickness, Ty came down with a nasty bug. Tis' the season. But he still went to work everyday even though I know he felt like complete doo-doo.  I left him this little note on the table today:

Baby,

Eat this blueberry scone with your coffee. The mug is waiting for you on the Keurig. I made your lunch in the fridge.
I hope you feel better, my love. I love you.
xoxo

PS. Eat your asparagus, too :P

I taught Scarlett how to swaddle her babies and I adore that I find her babies lying around the house is blankets. I hide behind corners to watch her carefully and precisely open a blanket up and fold edges down, then plop her baby in the middle and wrap it up tightly. At such a young age, motherly instincts are there. It's amazing. She loves babies as much as I did when I was a little girl. I feel like Scarlett got the best of both Ty and I. She is laid-back, calm mannered and thoughtful like Ty. She is funny, girly & independent like me. I feel like this gives her a great foundation for whatever it is that she is going to be...possibilities huh? Now I'm off to bed. Soaking up this relaxation before the crazy month of December begins.
