heart to heart.

It's been awhile since we've had a heart to heart.
I thought we should catch up again.

If we were friends, I would at some point, invite you over for coffee.
I love coffee in the morning. The smell of it, the taste of it and the thought of it makes me happy.
I appreciate a lot of small things in life. Coffee is one of them.
My favorite is The Donut Shop K-cups for Keurig.

When you arrived, Scarlett would greet you at the door and probably not leave your side.
She's a friendly one.
She would chat to you in baby talk and most likely try to sit on your lap.
I would tell you that I can't believe my baby is becoming a little girl.
My heart be still...

(Photo Taken One Year Ago)
Scarlett is my little shadow. Copying everything I do.
She is a sweet girl with a loving heart.
She gives me hugs throughout the day.
I can just tell that she is going to be a loving, affectionate person.
I also can't believe we have been in New York for over a year now!

If we were close friends, I would tell you that things are great.
A tad stressful with all that's on my plate, but I'm grateful for all the blessings in my life.
Even though things are all coming together, there are moments when I feel like I'm holding my breath.
I know deep down that everything will turn out okay like it always does.
I pray for this.
If we were friends, I would tell you that I am super excited to decorate our new home!!
I have spent too much time at Home Goods and on Pinterest scheming.
I am the most excited for Scarlett's room
Since she was a baby, I have been longing for her to have her own room.
When she was 4 months old, we moved to New York and we have been wanderers since.
She never had a room to call her own.
Scarlett gets her own stable, permanent room on December 1st.
I would tell you that my wedding details are nearly finished.
If we were friends, I would tell you that I have asked my bridesmaids if they would stand beside me....
I secretly wish I could have 10 or 15 bridesmaids so that I could ask all the girls I love.

Besides Scarlett's toys laying around, my house would be spic and span.
If we were friends, you would know that I love a clean house. I despise clutter.
Scarlett's toys are the only things that don't bother me.
I would probably have lit a few candles in the scent of Cozy Fireplace or Pumpkin Pie, in leu of Autumn.
I adore a cozy house smelling of festive scents.

I would tell you that I try daily to be a better person.
I try to love more and take less.
I am a Leo and when I say that, I mean I am the epitome of a Leo.
I know what I want and I focus on that.
Sometimes that means I neglect others or put myself first;
I despise that trait.
Once again, I am a work in progress.

If we were friends,
I would tell you that an old friend of mine lost someone she loved dearly and my heart aches for her.
I would tell you that she is my prayers each night.
I can't imagine the grief that she has had to deal with.

If we were friends I would tell you that even though I have a blog and write my heart out...
there is so much that the world doesn't know about me.
I'm kind of like an onion (as Shrek would say).
I have layers.
And I have yet to show my inner-most layers.
But I think that it's good to keep somethings for yourself.

I would ask you how you are and what is important in your life right now?
What is making you happy or sad today?
So tell me....what is on your mind today?

  2. I love the smell of coffee in the mornings too. My other half once made me tea by mistake - yuk! I do love the smell of those Christmassy/Autumnal scents that are always around this time of year too. A good candle can make all the difference.

Your baby is happy and healthy and your home is perfect even with toys you trip over it just means there is LIFE there. And with smells of coffee and pumpkin candles it sounds like a place I wouldn't want to leave. With the music from your blog I can tell we would get along so well. I am happy to have found you and be your newest reader from the Monday Meet up. I hope you have a great, great week new friend ;)
Oh and I would have said, sorry about your friend who has lost someone. I'm sure it helps her more than you know to have YOU a shoulder to cry on and a person to pray for her. What more is there in life than the love of a good friend?

  5. Your blog is so cute! I'm so glad I found it. My baby is now a toddler and it's so fun to watch her grow up but the baby stage is so short! I miss it.
