Doors & Pieces.

I used to think that summer was my favorite time of year.
How September has treated me, has me second guessing my favorite season.
Maybe it's just that I am utterly overfilled with love this month.
Our good friends just left after staying with us for the weekend.
What fun we had!
And now, it's back to the grind. We are unpacked and finally settled into the new house.
But of course, settling into this house only means relaxing for a small time.
We are taking on the task of looking to buy a second house. Is this crazy to do while planning a wedding?
Probably.
But it looks like we will be here, in New York, awhile so...why not?

I am so proud of my Ty.
He has taken such good care of Scarlett and I. I honestly never thought that I would live as comfortably as I do now.
Don't get me wrong, we are not rich, but...we've seen worse days.
I've been thinking about doors lately. Doors? you say.
Back when I left my banking job to be a stay at home mother, I was scared.
And ironically, Ty got laid off a few days after I gave my notice.
But they say, God never shuts one door without opening another.
And I believe this because it is all that has been shown to me time and time again.
I lost love....and God opened a door. Ty.
I consumed myself with alcohol to suppress the pain...and another door opened. Scarlett.
We were broke and laid off....a door. New York.
I was hesitant to come to New York or experience new things.
I'm so glad that I did. What a wonderful journey Ty and I have been given.

I'm just not the type of girl to take things for granted.
I can't get caught up in the facade of unimportance when there are so many true things in my life.
Of course things still go wrong for us, as life always will.
But instead of seeing just the disappointment... I look for the doors.
1.Scarlett....always Scarlett.
2.I'm thankful to be home and unpacked. Home is where Ty and Scarlett are.
3.Pool Baby
4.Learning Steps.
5.A piece of the Twin Towers wreckage was presented to the City this year in remembrance of 9/11. Scarlett is paying her respects.
6.I adore this man with every fiber of my body.
7.Farmer's Market Trip.
8.Night swimming
9.A Peanut girl in her poncho.
10. Ombre hair for fall.
